Cregis participated in TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 as a Silver Sponsor on October 7 and 8 at Marina Bay Sands. At Booth PB4-22, the team met payment providers, fintech companies, exchanges and financial institutions to discuss digital asset payments and enterprise wallet infrastructure. Conversations covered the services businesses are developing for their customers, as well as the infrastructure they need to manage funds securely across markets.
Stablecoins Gain Ground in Business and Consumer Payments
Stablecoins are finding broader commercial uses as regulatory frameworks take shape and payment providers introduce new services. The EU’s MiCA framework and Hong Kong’s stablecoin issuer regime have established clearer requirements for issuance and oversight, helping businesses assess their options. Applications now extend from supplier payments and international payroll to consumer remittances and stablecoin-linked cards. Demand is driven by practical considerations, including settlement times, cross-border payment costs and the ability to move funds outside banking hours. These developments are creating opportunities for financial institutions and fintech companies to incorporate stablecoins into their payment offerings.
Cregis’s product discussions at TOKEN2049 focused on the infrastructure behind these services. The company presented its crypto and stablecoin payment capabilities, covering checkout, payment tracking, payouts and reconciliation, alongside wallet infrastructure for managing funds across blockchain networks. By integrating these capabilities into existing products and financial systems, businesses can connect customer payments with the settlement and treasury processes that follow. For payment providers, this supports the development of new services; for enterprises accepting digital assets, it helps finance and operations teams manage them within established workflows.
Security from Key Management to Transaction Controls
Security remains a major concern for enterprises handling digital assets, particularly as transaction volumes grow and more teams become involved in funds management. Protecting assets requires controls that address both internal operations and the risks associated with incoming and outgoing funds. Businesses need infrastructure that supports their own governance requirements while allowing them to assess and manage exposure to onchain financial risks.
At the exhibition, Cregis showcased its MPC-based self-custody Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS), demonstrating how security is addressed through both the underlying technology and product design. MPC enables distributed storage and management of private key shares, while configurable workflows allow enterprises to establish internal transaction approval procedures and incorporate onchain funds risk assessment into their operations. Together, these capabilities support a risk-based approach to digital asset management, enabling businesses to apply their policies across transaction authorization and funds risk controls while retaining control of their assets.
Industry Exchange throughout TOKEN2049 Week
Alongside the exhibition, Cregis worked with partners to provide a forum for sharing experience across payments and institutional digital finance. The company co-hosted the Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 with FOMO Pay, Stable and Width, participated in the Regional PayFi Summit hosted by Axiom and Aquanow, and co-hosted Night By The Pool with Sumsub and Medici Expert. These events complemented the main conference with discussions on stablecoin adoption, compliance and asset security, giving businesses opportunities to exchange operational experience and explore collaboration.
“For businesses to grow, secure infrastructure and effective tools need to be supported by industry knowledge and access to the right resources. Working with our partners, we hope to bring businesses together to share experience, build lasting relationships and discover opportunities that help them move forward.”
