Advancing from ‘Payment Tool’ to ‘Industrial Infrastructure’
In the post pandemic era, the reconstruction of the global industrial chain is becoming more and more apparent. The payment technology is no longer limited to the role of receiving and making payments, but has adopted the key responsibility in the flow of the entire digital asset circulation system. Cregis had reconstructed the fundamental value of payment technology in an organisation’s business workflows through self-hosted MPC wallets, real-time settlement engines, enterprise-class account systems and strategic risk control modules.
‘Our clients expect not only “wallet that transfers money” from us, but an integrated payment operating system that can host multiple accounts for organisations, permission approvals, compliance risk control and real-time settlements’.” Eric noted.
Structural Upgrade in FX and Payment Scenarios
Can you share specific examples of how Cregis implemented in FX exchanges or Payment Institution?
Eric:
We have provided a wide range of FX platforms worldwide with in-chain self-custody of funds and automated settlement solutions. For example, clients can host their funds in sub-accounts in their MPC wallet. The system automatically completes the settlement on the chain after the completion of each transaction. This eliminates the risk and efficiency loss from centralised reconciliation and manual intervention in the past.
In the payment provider sector, Cregis helps them to quickly establish a global stablecoin settlement network, which, together with on-chain compliance, risk control, automated management and other capabilities. This enables them to efficiently expand the cross-border payment market within the compliance framework.
‘Whether it is docking upstream FX scenarios or downstream B2B payment needs, Cregis provides an “integration-as-you-go” on-chain base capability. Partners will no longer need to construct their own systems and hire their own blockchain teams. They can directly open up the on-chain circulation path in their existing business.’ Eric added.
Setting up Web3 Standards with ‘Institutional Languages’
As the Web3 Infrastructure is evolving, what are the directions Cregis will focus on in the future?
Eric:
We believe that the entire Web3 industry will be moving towards “standardisation” and “industrialisation” in the next three years if it they want to truly connect with the major markets. This is not only the technological iteration, but also the unification of system capabilities, service models and regulatory frameworks.
Cregis aims to be “the first stop for traditional enterprises to tap into Web3”. We hope that our users are able to ‘Use Cregis like AWS’ for our security, stability and scalability during deployment on their on-chain business. We will continuously strengthen our capabilities in these four major modules: wallet custody, payment settlement, risk control and compliance, and account system. In the meantime, we are looking forward to expanding our platform capabilities to build a financial foundation for the digital asset era with banks, payment providers, and other traditional financial enterprises.
