[Bangkok,23 April 2025]- As an enterprise-class crypto asset infrastructure provider, Cregis presents its tailor-made payment solutions for global enterprises at this year’s Money20/20 Asia. This demonstrates its leading product maturity and landing capability in the Web3 infrastructure field. During the interview with media, Eric, Regional Business Development Director in APAC, shared his insights on the future industry evolution and how Cregis constructs new infrastructures for traditional financial institutions to progress steadily and further in the era of digital assets through the capability of ‘Enterprise Standard’ payment system.

‘Payments have never been more truly part of the financial infrastructure.’ In an exclusive interview, Eric said, ‘It’s not just the beginning of a transaction, it’s emerging as a pivotal hub for regulation, risk control, cross-border value transfer and business compliance.‘

Advancing from ‘Payment Tool’ to ‘Industrial Infrastructure’

In the post pandemic era, the reconstruction of the global industrial chain is becoming more and more apparent. The payment technology is no longer limited to the role of receiving and making payments, but has adopted the key responsibility in the flow of the entire digital asset circulation system. Cregis had reconstructed the fundamental value of payment technology in an organisation’s business workflows through self-hosted MPC wallets, real-time settlement engines, enterprise-class account systems and strategic risk control modules.

‘Our clients expect not only “wallet that transfers money” from us, but an integrated payment operating system that can host multiple accounts for organisations, permission approvals, compliance risk control and real-time settlements’.” Eric noted.

Structural Upgrade in FX and Payment Scenarios

Can you share specific examples of how Cregis implemented in FX exchanges or Payment Institution?

Eric:

We have provided a wide range of FX platforms worldwide with in-chain self-custody of funds and automated settlement solutions. For example, clients can host their funds in sub-accounts in their MPC wallet. The system automatically completes the settlement on the chain after the completion of each transaction. This eliminates the risk and efficiency loss from centralised reconciliation and manual intervention in the past.

In the payment provider sector, Cregis helps them to quickly establish a global stablecoin settlement network, which, together with on-chain compliance, risk control, automated management and other capabilities. This enables them to efficiently expand the cross-border payment market within the compliance framework.

‘Whether it is docking upstream FX scenarios or downstream B2B payment needs, Cregis provides an “integration-as-you-go” on-chain base capability. Partners will no longer need to construct their own systems and hire their own blockchain teams. They can directly open up the on-chain circulation path in their existing business.’ Eric added. cregis

Setting up Web3 Standards with ‘Institutional Languages’

As the Web3 Infrastructure is evolving, what are the directions Cregis will focus on in the future?

Eric:

We believe that the entire Web3 industry will be moving towards “standardisation” and “industrialisation” in the next three years if it they want to truly connect with the major markets. This is not only the technological iteration, but also the unification of system capabilities, service models and regulatory frameworks.

Cregis aims to be “the first stop for traditional enterprises to tap into Web3”. We hope that our users are able to ‘Use Cregis like AWS’ for our security, stability and scalability during deployment on their on-chain business. We will continuously strengthen our capabilities in these four major modules: wallet custody, payment settlement, risk control and compliance, and account system. In the meantime, we are looking forward to expanding our platform capabilities to build a financial foundation for the digital asset era with banks, payment providers, and other traditional financial enterprises.

The Connection Bridge From the Exhibition Booths to the Industry

’We are not here to “showcase our technology,” but rather to establish a partnership.” Eric concludes his interview. In this exhibition, Cregis not only hopes to show the matured product capabilities to global partners. They also aim to build a tighter cross-border collaboration network by connecting regulation and innovation, traditional organisations and Web3 technology. Becoming an important platform to promote the improvement of global fintech infrastructures.
